CARPENTER – DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION

Location: Sparks, NV
Pay Rate: $30 per hour
Schedule: Full-time; schedule may vary by project needs

Project Duration: Multi-year data center project

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Carpenters for a long-term data center construction project in Sparks, Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable tradespeople seeking steady, full-time work on a project expected to continue for several years.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general and commercial carpentry work throughout the construction site
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials
• Build temporary walls, barricades, platforms, ramps, and site protection
• Assist with framing, backing, blocking, formwork, and structural support
• Install doors, hardware, panels, trim, and other building components as needed
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, measurements, and supervisor instructions
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
• Assist other skilled trades and construction crews when required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures and data center security requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous commercial or industrial carpentry experience required
• Data center or large-scale construction experience preferred
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, plumb, and install materials
• Experience using saws, drills, impacts, levels, and standard carpentry tools
• Ability to read basic construction plans and layouts
• Reliable transportation to the Sparks job site
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule
• Ability to pass applicable project screening and site-access requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing conditions
• Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, or elevated areas when required
