Job Overview:

Nexiya is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator II to support Gas Technical Services (GTS) operations and regulatory compliance activities at a Utility provider in San Diego. This role serves as the primary coordinator for gas system inspection and maintenance programs, ensuring critical maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation are accurately maintained and completed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements at their Kearny Mesa office location.


The ideal candidate is analytical, technology savvy, and excels at coordinating multiple priorities while collaborating with field operations, engineering, compliance teams, and internal stakeholders. This position plays a key role in supporting safe, reliable gas operations by managing maintenance programs, responding to compliance requests, coordinating emergency response activities, and maintaining accurate operational data.

Roles and Responsibilities:
 

  • Acts as primary coordinator over the GTS (Gas Technical Services) Inspection & Maintenance program throughout the service territory for gas system assets.
  • Validates and updates critical maintenance and inspection work record data.
  • Creates, monitors, and manages work orders and maintenance notifications of company assets and equipment records in SAP-PM to ensure successful completion of necessary field repairs.
  • Monitors the status of field work orders for completion, required follow-up, work scope changes, joint meet requirements, and access issues.
  • Responds to data requests from management and Compliance departments for internal and external audits. Creates and modifies ad-hoc and standardized reports using HANA and SAP-PM systems to ensure compliance, monitor notifications, and monitor work order status for Gas Technical Services.
  • Assists with technical system support questions for represented personnel, sometimes resulting in scheduled work modifications for represented personnel. May assist supervisor with special project reporting and analysis.
  • Performs Pipeline and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) emergency response functions by dispatching and assigning represented personnel via CLICK system, including phone notification, other department coordination, and order creation/ processing (creation, modification, and management through completion of trouble orders in SAP-PM).
  • Acts as a liaison with various internal and external departments. Interacts daily with represented field personnel regarding order completion status, CLICK issues, and additional crew support as needed (assist crews and/ or extra equipment needed, material ordering, etc).
  • Performs other duties as assigned which include but are not limited to assisting ARSO scheduling with compliance inspection and maintenance orders, creating and modifying late lists and prearranged lists, updating vacation information, and ensuring callout lists with qualifications are accurate.


Education/Experience Requirements:
 

  • Minimum High School Diploma or above
  • Strong skills in organization, prioritization, and validation of maintenance and inspection records.
  • Strong experience identifying discrepancies, understanding regulatory requirements, and making decisions that affect scheduling, dispatching, and compliance performance.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating work, resolving issues, training personnel, and supporting emergency response activities.
  • Utility, gas pipeline, construction, engineering, or field operations experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision and with urgency, able to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and develop strong working knowledge of various software applications
  • Must be a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills and proactive follow-up (internal and external)
  • Strong oral communication and writing skills
  • Must be able to apply critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 
  • Must be able to successfully pass our background screening process
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the US

Pay Range:

Min: $27/hour
Max: $34/hour
