Job Description
Position Summary
Rework steel, stainless steel and aluminum castings after mold removal by performing the following duties.
Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reworking non-conforming product found in Radiography, Penetrant, and Visual Testing via air powered rotary tools.
- Remove cut/blend defects in castings via angled or straight air powered die grinder equipped with carbides, abrasive cutting wheels, and or blending stones.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to adapt to learn from on-the-job training.
- Ability to implement safe work practices.
- Ability to read and write.
- Basic computer skills.
No job experience or educational knowledge is required but experienced with manual cutting blending tools is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The employee is regularly required to stand and sit; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Due to nature of work, face shield, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, steel toe boots are required. Rework functions are performed in a loud, darkened room with stationary black and white light. Work can be accomplished standing or sitting throughout shift.

2- Day Shift Positions- Monday through Friday- Hours are from 7:00am - 3:30pm- Overtime work required depending on department demands. Must be available to work nights/weekends.
