Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) licensure required
- Proven experience or strong interest in serving elementary-aged children with mild to moderate disabilities
- Knowledge of IEP processes, compliance protocols, and progress monitoring
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility and commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning spaces
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Employ differentiated instruction strategies to address diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth in both group and individualized settings
- Embrace school values and actively contribute to a positive team environment
