Express Employment is looking for Instrumentation Technicians.

$50 per hour, Fulltime, Multiple positions open. Minimum of 40 hours a week on rotating shifts.

Looking for around 5+ years of experience worked in the field.

Phosphate fertilizer plant, Equipment commonly worked on:

• Pressure transmitters
• Work Flow meters
• Temperature sensors (RTDs and thermocouples)
• Level transmitters
• pH analyzers
• Density analyzers
• Control valves and valve positioners
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
• Motor control centers (MCCs)
• Emergency shutdown (ESD) systems
• Gas detection systems (ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, etc.)
• Burner management systems
• Dew point meters
• Knowledge of how to calibrate all analog and discrete instrumentation.
• Knowledgeable in Delta V and fieldbus installations.

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for the operation and upkeep of measuring and control devices in industrial, manufacturing, and energy sectors. Their core duties include:

• Installation and Configuration: Installing new instrumentation systems and configuring them according to production specifications and technical drawings.
• Calibration and Testing: Performing routine calibration of instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime.
• System Upgrades: Updating software and hardware to maintain technological compliance and efficiency .
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining detailed service reports and documentation to meet regulatory and operational standards.
• Collaboration and Training: Working with engineers, operations personnel, and other technicians to optimize system performance and providing training on system operation and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

Instrumentation Technicians typically work in industrial settings, including manufacturing plants, oil and gas facilities, and power generation sites. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, travel to job sites, and adherence to strict safety protocols. They often report to a Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager and work closely with multidisciplinary teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: An Associate's degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, or a related field is generally required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering can be advantageous for career advancement
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as the Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) by the International Society of Automation (ISA) enhance employability
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals; knowledge of industrial instruments including pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and analyzers
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring precise measurements and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
