General Production Worker – 3rd Shift in BELEN, NM
Job Description
This role involves operating production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, performing visual product inspections, and completing repetitive changeovers with a high level of accuracy. You will support general production activities, packaging, and material handling while following established procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machines safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Perform visual inspections of products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Complete repetitive changeovers on machines and equipment as required by production schedules.
- Support general production tasks, including assembly, packing, and general labor activities.
- Load materials into machines and production lines and monitor operations for issues.
- Use basic math skills to perform counts, measurements, and production-related calculations.
- Utilize computer skills to enter production data, follow work instructions, and complete basic system tasks.
- Follow cleanroom and production area protocols, including suiting up and maintaining a clean work area.
- Operate or assist with forklifts and other material handling equipment, as needed and if trained.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including the use of required protective equipment and proper lifting techniques.
- Stand for the duration of the shift while performing hands-on production and inspection tasks.
- Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products to prepare them for shipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain workflow.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience in a production, manufacturing, or general labor environment.
- Ability to operate machines and production equipment in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with visual inspection of products for quality and defects.
- Basic math skills to perform counts, simple calculations, and measurements.
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing approximately 30 to 50 pounds.
- Computer skills sufficient to enter data and follow on-screen instructions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment.
- Ability to follow cleanroom or controlled-environment procedures, including suiting up.
- Experience with machine operation, assembly, and general production work.
- Experience in packaging, packing, and material handling.
- Exposure to cleanroom environments and related protocols..
- Steel-toe or composite safety shoes, required during shifts and for interviews.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.

Work Environment
This is a manufacturing role on a 3rd shift schedule, working Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position is based in a production facility that requires employees to suit up when entering certain production or cleanroom areas. The work is fast paced, hands on, and involves standing for most of the shift while operating machines, performing inspections, and handling materials. Employees must wear steel-toe or composite safety shoes and follow all safety and cleanliness standards appropriate for a manufacturing and cleanroom environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
