Special Education Teacher in Arvada, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) license
• Prior experience teaching special education at the elementary level preferred
• Skilled in supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities in an inclusive school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with staff and families
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and provide differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve a manageable caseload of students at Brantner Elementary, delivering tailored instruction and interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings, provide documentation of student growth, and comply with all district and state requirements
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom climate that encourages student engagement
