Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU / Sedation Nurse

Blue Ocean Interventional is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) with sedation experience, or an experienced Sedation Nurse, to support a busy outpatient surgery center. This flexible per diem opportunity offers ongoing PRN shifts with the potential to pick up additional work at other locations as needs arise.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide safe, high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia patient care.
\n
• Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation and assess recovery progress.
\n
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
\n
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
\n
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and discharge instructions.
\n
• Collaborate with physicians and the procedural team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN License in good standing.
\n
• Previous PACU experience required.
\n
• Sedation nursing experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Strong patient assessment and recovery care skills.
\n
• Experience working in a surgical or procedural setting preferred.
\n
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
\n
