Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for an ICU position at a critical access hospital in Nevada, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS certification.

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
\n
• Critical access hospital setting with a 23-bed facility
\n
• ICU unit serving adult patients with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, sepsis, general surgery, and DKA
\n
• Average patient ratio of 1:2
\n
• Epic EMR — experience required
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Floating may be required to Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units
\n
• No on-call required
\n
• Block scheduling availability is determined by unit needs
\n
• Local candidates are accepted
\n
• Free parking available on-site
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NV RN license required; pending NV license will be considered
\n
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
\n
• CPI certification preferred
\n
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
\n
• Prior charge nurse experience required
\n
• Telemetry, triage, and ventilator experience required
\n
• Conscious sedation experience preferred
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
\n
• Ventilator management skills required, including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning
\n
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and emergency medications
\n
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and CVA/acute stroke
\n
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, renal failure management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
\n
• One supervisor reference dated within the last 18 months required for consideration
\n
• A Nursys report (PDF, dated within the last 30 days) is required for consideration
\n

• First-time travelers will be considered with strong experience
\n
• Any color scrubs permitted
\n
• RTO must be submitted prior to offer and cannot be guaranteed after an offer is extended; no RTO within the first week, and no more than 10 days total
