American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for an ICU position at a critical access hospital in Nevada, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS certification.

- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) \n
- Critical access hospital setting with a 23-bed facility \n
- ICU unit serving adult patients with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, sepsis, general surgery, and DKA \n
- Average patient ratio of 1:2 \n
- Epic EMR — experience required \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Floating may be required to Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units \n
- No on-call required \n
- Block scheduling availability is determined by unit needs \n
- Local candidates are accepted \n
- Free parking available on-site \n
- \n
- Active NV RN license required; pending NV license will be considered \n
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS \n
- CPI certification preferred \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required \n
- Prior charge nurse experience required \n
- Telemetry, triage, and ventilator experience required \n
- Conscious sedation experience preferred \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration \n
- Ventilator management skills required, including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning \n
- Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and emergency medications \n
- Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and CVA/acute stroke \n
- Experience with IV insulin protocols, renal failure management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring \n
- One supervisor reference dated within the last 18 months required for consideration \n
- A Nursys report (PDF, dated within the last 30 days) is required for consideration \n

- Position is a Charge RN role with ICU leadership responsibilities \n
- First-time travelers will be considered with strong experience \n
- Any color scrubs permitted \n
- RTO must be submitted prior to offer and cannot be guaranteed after an offer is extended; no RTO within the first week, and no more than 10 days total \n
- License hits or background hits require facility approval prior to offer; a detailed explanation must be provided \n
