Location: Apple Valley, California

\n

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage required and may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs. On-call required with 30-minute response time. Weekend/holiday on-call hours: 07:00 to 19:00 or 07:00 to 07:00. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.

• Work in a 212-bed acute care hospital with 6 main OR surgical suites and 3 outpatient surgery suites
\n
• Exposure to diverse surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, Spine, Total Joints, Urology, Vascular, OB/GYN, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, and Robotics
\n
• Utilize advanced technology including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for robotic-assisted procedures
\n
• Float opportunities between main OR and outpatient surgery center for varied experience
\n
• Epic charting system in use; free parking provided
\n
• 91-day assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation
\n

Requirements:\n

\n
• Active California Surgical Technologist license (must be in hand prior to start)
\n
• Current BLS certification
\n
• National certification: NBSTSA or NCCT required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience
\n
• MUST HAVE spine and total joint experience (required, non-negotiable)
\n
• Scrubbing experience in General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, GYN procedures, C-sections, and inpatient settings
\n
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
\n
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
\n
