Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
\n
• Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
\n
• Patient population includes those receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
\n
• Perform vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drug administration, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
\n
• 13-week assignment with an option to extend to 26 weeks
\n
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
\n
• Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active SC or compact RN license required
\n
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac telemetry required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
\n
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and emergency response care to acutely ill patients
\n
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
\n
• Orientation takes place every Monday
\n
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
\n
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses is required based on facility census needs
\n
