Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Neulife Rehabilitation - Mount Dora, FLPosition OverviewNeulife Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitative care. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injury, surgery, or neurological conditions by improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring functional independence.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver physical therapy interventions based on established plans of care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistAdminister therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activitiesUtilize therapeutic modalities as appropriate (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy) in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocolsAccurately document patient treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely mannerMonitor patient status and report changes, concerns, or progress to the supervising Physical TherapistAssist in modifying treatment techniques within the established plan of care to meet patient needsEducate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs (HEP), safety, and injury prevention strategiesEnsure compliance with all regulatory standards, payer guidelines, and company policiesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environmentParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care planningSupport clinic flow, including patient preparation and equipment setupQualifications & RequirementsAssociate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent, active Florida PTA license in good standingCPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, modalities, and documentation standardsFamiliarity with EMR systems and basic computer skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environmentCommitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered careNew graduates welcome; prior outpatient, inpatient, or neuro rehab experience preferred Compensation & Benefits$35-$40 per hour (based on experience)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer optionsPaid time off and holidaysOn-site daycareContinuing education and professional development opportunitiesCareer advancement pathways within the organization About Neulife RehabilitationNeulife Rehabilitation is a leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitative services in Mount Dora, Florida.
