Job Description
Lake Pointe Academy, Inc. is a small private therapeutic school in Granbury, TX seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Special Education Teacher to provide student-centered instruction and support in an onsite setting.
Position SummaryAs a Special Education Teacher, you partner with the Program Therapist to deliver high-quality instruction tailored to the needs of students with learning differences, helping them make meaningful academic and developmental progress. You will collaborate closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to support individualized learning goals and consistent classroom strategies.
This is a onsite role in Granbury, TX, focused on creating an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, skills, and independence.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized instruction aligned to students’ learning needs, goals, and progress monitoring
Plan and deliver engaging lessons using appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and interventions
Collaborate with school staff, support personnel, and families to coordinate services and maintain clear communication
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, instructional plans, and required classroom records
Support classroom management practices that foster safety, participation, and positive behavior
Valid teaching certification/endorsement appropriate for special education or eligibility to obtain certification
Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver instruction that meets diverse learning needs
Experience working with students who require individualized learning support and clear, structured routines
Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and professional teams
Ability to manage multiple student needs while maintaining organized documentation and consistent follow-through
Experience in K–12 special education settings, including support for individualized education planning and progress tracking
Familiarity with behavior support strategies and classroom interventions tailored to student needs
Experience collaborating with related service providers to support student goals
Demonstrated commitment to restorative and therapeutic practices
