Job Description
Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha is hiring an Activities Assistant. Starting pay is $20.00/hour, with credit given for prior experience. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, plus one Saturday shift a month.
What you'll do:
- Help plan and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents, working alongside the Director of Activities
- Encourage residents to join activities that fit their cognitive, physical, and emotional needs
- Escort residents to appointments, outings, church services, and special events
- Keep activity calendars, bulletin boards, and supplies organized and current
- Build relationships with residents and families, and bring their interests into activity planning
- Watch for changes in resident participation or wellbeing and report them to the Director of Activities or nursing staff
- Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards
What you'll need:
Required:
- Active Nebraska CNA license
- At least 18 years old
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to document care, coordinate with the care team, and communicate with residents and families
Preferred:
- Experience working with older adults
- Basic computer skills
