Registered Nurse – Oncology, Geneva, NY. This travel assignment starts 09/08/2026 for a projected 22–26 weeks with potential extension through the holidays. Weekly pay ranges from $1,962 to $2,102 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0 per week. Shift: 3x12 Flex. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with Med/Surg/Oncology responsibilities on a designated unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions, including oncology cases, on a Med/Surg/Oncology unit.
- Assess patient and family needs; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized plan of care; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments safely; observe and document responses, manage adverse effects, and escalate concerns per protocol.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, medications, and self-care after hospitalization.
- Coordinate care with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare team members to promote a healing environment; ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain infection prevention practices, uphold patient safety standards, and participate in quality improvement activities as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg environment
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts with day/night variability; includes on-call shifts (2 per 4 weeks)
