REGISTERED NURSE - PRNBEHAVIORAL HEALTHMinden Medical Center is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support patients in our Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Unit. In this role, you help provide safe, compassionate care and contribute to a therapeutic environment for our geriatric patients with mental health needs.Key responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and carrying out individualized care plans while prioritizing patient safety.Required qualifications/skills:- Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing or Multistate- AHA BLS required- Behavioral Health experience preferredIf you're ready to bring your Registered Nurse skills to a Psychiatric care environment on PRN shifts, we encourage you to apply today.A Typical ShiftAs a Registered Nurse on PRN shifts, you'll start by getting report and orienting to the unit's current priorities. Throughout the day, you'll move between patient rooms and the nurses' station, balancing focused patient interactions with steady communication across the care team. You'll document in real time, adjust to changing acuity, and take part in quick check-ins that keep everyone aligned. In Behavioral Health, you'll also help maintain a calm, structured setting-using clear, respectful communication and consistent routines-so patients feel supported and the unit stays safe and organized. Background & Drug Screen Required
