About the Role:
The Wonder Years Learning Center in Wilmington, MA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to join their dedicated team! Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care for infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Maintain accurate daily logs including feeding, diapering, napping, and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive, team-oriented learning environment
- Follow established routines and schedules to provide consistency and security for young children
Requirements:
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- EEC (Early Education and Care) certification or willingness to obtain
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Warm, patient, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with families
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor
