Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, caring, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position works with children 12 months to 5 years old, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, has a positive attitude, enjoys working with young children, and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences while maintaining a welcoming classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and instruction for children ages 12 months to 5 years.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom.
- Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education in Early Childhood Education.
- Maintain accurate classroom records and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to continuing education in Early Childhood Education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Caring, patient, dependable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Flexible and willing to work the required schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant childcare or preschool experience.
- CDA credential preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances.
- Ability to meet all state licensing requirements.
