Shift: 2nd 1:30pm - 10pm + OT

Pay: $20$32/hr (DOE)

Job Summary:

Machine Shop in Santa Ana is URGENTLY hiring for qualified Metal Finishers. You will read blueprints, drawings, and take measurements to plan and layout procedures. You are responsible to accurately assemble, cut, grind, deburr and/or operate laser and brake forming machines.

Responsibilities:

• Able to operate Amada and Bystronic fiber laser, brake, and other machines – program machines as required  
• Prepares surface of weldments to ensure a smooth painting surface.
• Responsible for removing weld seams, spot welds, dents and scratches from metal surfaces.
• Assemble parts utilizing a wide range of hand/power tools
• Address machine malfunctions in an efficient and expedited manner
• Work from work order, samples, drawing, written and verbal instruction.
• Consistently monitor quality of product to maintain quality standards.
• Able to load automatic feeder
• Identify parts for inspection - as required (part of the overall quality control process.
• Update travelers and input as required per job
• Maintaining workplace housekeeping to provide a safe, clean work environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical demands (lifting to 30lbs) when needed
• Pushing up to 25lbs to 40lbs max when needed
• Carrying up to 25lbs if needed (distance) 5ft when needed
• Lifting material (40lbs max)
• Walking about 10%
• Stationed about 70%
• Knelling, squatting, bending, when needed 20%

Skills:

• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Mechanically inclined
• Metal Fabrication background
• Machine Operating
• Able to use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Able to define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to metal fabricating
