Job Summary

 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapeutic services that help clients improve their independence, functional abilities, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, collaborative, and committed to delivering evidence-based care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), visual-motor integration, coordination, strength, and functional independence.
  • Monitor client progress and accurately document treatment sessions according to company, state, and payer guidelines.
  • Communicate client progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising OT.
  • Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs and carryover activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.

Required

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) credential.
  • Current state licensure.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in pediatrics, outpatient, and school-based settings.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt treatment techniques to individual client needs.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
