Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Associate to join our growing legal team. This fully remote position is ideal for an attorney with civil litigation experience who is capable of managing cases independently while collaborating with senior attorneys. The successful candidate will have substantial responsibility for case management, including court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution or trial.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings.
  • Prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for depositions and trial.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Develop case strategies and provide timely case evaluations and reports.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Meet billable hour expectations while delivering high-quality legal services.


Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • Civil litigation experience.
  • Experience or exposure to insurance defense and/or business litigation.
  • Experience managing litigation files and taking depositions.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent legal writing, communication, and advocacy abilities.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling cases through trial.
  • Courtroom and motion practice experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional demeanor with sound judgment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
