K-8 STEAM Teacher - Vista USD, CA - $22-40/hr - Afterschool - Now Hiring

Kodely is hiring experienced K-8 educators to lead our afterschool programs across Vista Unified School District (Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad). $22-40/hour based on experience. Open schedule tell us which days you can work.

We are looking for strong classroom managers with real teaching experience: credentialed teachers, teaching credential candidates (CSUSM, SDSU, UCSD, USD, Point Loma, MiraCosta, Palomar), former classroom teachers, career substitutes, K-8 tutors, and camp/afterschool leads.

Start: Aug 13, 2026. School year: Aug 13, 2026 through June 2027.

WHAT MAKES A STRONG APPLICANT

- 6+ months hands-on classroom or afterschool experience with K-8 students

- Confident classroom management you can hold 20 kids engaged for 60-minute lessons

- Bachelor's degree preferred (in progress OK)

- Reliable car and clean driving record

- Permanent US work authorization for the full 2026-27 school year

- CA LiveScan, TB test, and Mandated Reporter training (we help you complete these)

SITES (17 VUSD elementary campuses)

Foothill Oak, Maryland, Breeze Hill, Alamosa Park, Bobier, Casita Center, Grapevine, Hannalei, Lake, Mission Meadows, Monte Vista, Olive, Temple Heights, Vista Academy, Crestview, Empresa, Beaumont. We match you to the campus closest to your commute.

DAILY HOURS

Monday (minimum day): 12:30 PM staff arrive, then 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 PM (three class blocks).

Tuesday-Friday: 1:45 PM staff arrive, 1:45-2:30 PM check-in, 2:30-3:30 PM class 1, 3:30-4:30 PM class 2.
