Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry / Progressive Care (PCU)

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Progressive Care (PCU)

Location: Goldsboro, NC
Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | 12-Hour Day Shifts
Pay: $33.00–$54.45 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for telemetry and progressive care patients.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms (EKG) and monitor patients receiving cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Manage oxygen therapy, including high-flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Perform point-of-care testing and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC).
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in one or more of the following:
• • Telemetry
  • Progressive Care (PCU)
  • Cardiac Stepdown
  • Intermediate Care
• Experience caring for patients with:
• • Complex cardiac, respiratory, or neurological conditions
  • High-flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation
  • Cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • EKG rhythm interpretation

Preferred Qualifications-

• BSN or MSN.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Progressive Care or Cardiac Stepdown experience.
