Job Description
This role focuses on structural and sheetmetal assembly for the production of A220 aircraft. You prepare and assemble metallic and composite components, including hybrid stacks, and perform precise drilling, fastening, and application of surface protections to ensure structural integrity and high-quality aircraft structures.
Responsibilities- Perform structural and sheetmetal assembly on a variety of aircraft parts, components, and subassemblies for A220 production.
- Prepare metallic and composite components, including hybrid stacks, for assembly in accordance with specifications and work instructions.
- Carry out accurate drilling of components to maintain structural continuity and meet engineering and quality requirements.
- Install and fasten parts using appropriate fasteners, rivets, and torquing tools to ensure secure and compliant assemblies.
- Apply surface protections such as sealant, alodine, and other approved treatments to protect components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform assembly tasks correctly and efficiently.
- Use riveting equipment, rivet guns, and related tools to assemble structures to required standards.
- Inspect completed work to verify structural continuity, correct installation of fasteners, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and support staff to meet production schedules and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines within the aircraft manufacturing environment.
- At least 2+ years of aerospace or aviation-related structures or sheetmetal experience within the last 5 years.
- Hands-on experience with aircraft sheetmetal or structural assembly.
- Ability to rivet, including proficiency using rivet guns and related equipment.
- Ability to drill components accurately while maintaining structural integrity.
- Ability to torque fasteners correctly using appropriate torquing tools.
- Proficiency working with sheet metal in an aircraft manufacturing or maintenance environment.
- Experience installing fasteners and rivets on aircraft structures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with aircraft airframe structures and assembly practices.
- Experience working with metallic and composite components, including hybrid stacks.
- Knowledge of applying surface protections such as sealant and alodine.
- Comfort working with a variety of assembly tools and equipment in a production environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining structural continuity and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.25 - $23.25/hr.
