Travel RN – CVOR / Operating Room | Illinois
\n 13-Week Contract | Day Shifts | CVOR with Call
\n Seeking an experienced **Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN)**
\n for a travel assignment at **Memorial Hospital of Carbondale** in Carbondale,
\n Illinois. Join a skilled surgical team providing exceptional perioperative care
\n for cardiothoracic patients in a fast-paced operating room environment.
\n REQUIREMENTS
\n • Active Illinois RN License
\n • Minimum 3 years of CVOR / Operating Room nursing experience
\n • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
\n • Strong cardiothoracic surgical nursing experience
\n • Ability to float to clinically appropriate units within scope of practice
\n ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
\n • 13-week contract
\n • Day shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
\n • CVOR with required call
\n • Floating to clinically appropriate units as needed
\n • No guaranteed hours
\n • No holiday coverage required
\n • W-2 employment only (No 1099)
\n RESPONSIBILITIES
\n • Provide direct nursing care during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
\n • Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
\n • Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures
\n • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
\n • Administer medications and ensure patient safety
\n • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary surgical teams
\n • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
\n • Float to appropriate clinical units based on competency and patient care needs
