American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

  • Work in the Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
  • \n
  • Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • \n
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • \n
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
  • \n
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required for consideration
  • \n
  • Skilled in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, and circulate procedures
  • \n
  • Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • \n
  • Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring and administration
  • \n
  • Skilled in 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale use
  • \n
  • Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • \n
  • Experience with vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • \n
  • Knowledgeable in administration of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
  • \n
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PCI, and left/right heart catheterization
  • \n
  • Carotid stenting and rotablator atherectomy experience preferred
  • \n
  • TAVR experience preferred
  • \n
  • Pulmonary angiography and embolization experience preferred
  • \n
  • State-issued ID required prior to consideration
  • \n
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provides direct patient care in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
  • \n
  • Responsible for circulating procedures and monitoring patients during cardiac catheterization and related interventions
  • \n
  • Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local
  • \n
  • RTO requests limited to no more than 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request permitted during the Nov-Jan holiday season
  • \n
  • All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
  • \n
