Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for an evening shift contract position at an acute care hospital in New Jersey.

Details\n

\n
• Evening shift position, Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM (5x5-hour shifts)
\n
• On-call requirement of 8 hours per pay period, every other Sunday
\n
• Work settings include adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma; pediatric acute care and outpatient experience preferred
\n
• Imaging scope includes brain, cranial nerves, orbits, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx), musculoskeletal, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and cardiovascular MRI
\n
• Advanced procedures include MRCP, MRA/MRV (head, neck, abdomen, lower extremity with bilateral runoff), MR Aortogram, and cardiac MRI (with/without contrast and stress); cardiac MRI and breast MRI experience preferred
\n
• Siemens MRI equipment is used on-site
\n
• Epic is the charting system; experience is preferred
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
\n
• ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification required
\n
• BLS certification required
\n
• Community hospital experience preferred
\n
• Proficiency in a broad range of MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
\n
• Starting peripheral IVs is a preferred skill
\n
• State license required if applicable
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
\n

Additional Information\n

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
\n
• Epic charting experience is preferred but not required
\n
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
\n
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
\n
• Orientation modules are completed on-site and average 2–3 hours for allied health professionals
\n
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
\n
