Structural Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fitter to join our team in La Crosse, VA. This position is responsible for fitting structural steel components, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring precise measurements while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Fit and assemble structural steel components, including beams, joists, webbing, connection plates, stiffeners, and supporting brackets.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions.

Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and work confidently with decimal measurements.

Inspect workpieces to ensure proper fit-up and quality before welding.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to pass a 3/8" Flat Weld Test.

Ability to pass a Vertical Tack Test.

Ability to pass a Single Bead Vertical Test.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Strong ability to read a tape measure and work with decimal measurements.

Previous structural steel fitting experience preferred.
