Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care, Sitka, AK, US. Travel assignment starting 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Work in an outpatient clinic setting within the Rehabilitation Services program, focusing on general SLP evaluations and therapy for adult and pediatric patients. Weekly pay ranges from $2,994 to $3,088. Flu vaccine required; Alaska licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required at time of submittal. Start date may follow credentialing steps and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient Speech-Language Pathology evaluations and treatments for adult and pediatric patients.
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans with measurable goals; document progress and outcomes in the patient record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals; participate in care conferences and team rounds.
- Educate patients and families; deliver home exercise programs and practical recommendations to support independence and functional communication.
- Ensure timely documentation of encounters, treatment plans, diagnoses, and prognoses; maintain compliance with standards and reimbursement requirements.
- May supervise or direct the work of support staff, students, or interns; participate in program development and quality improvement efforts.
- Be prepared to provide services in various settings (in-patient, out-patient, community-based) and, on occasion, travel to remote locations as needed.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; CCC-SLP.
- Licensure: Alaska state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required at time of submittal.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current flu vaccine is required.
- Experience: Pediatric and outpatient experience required.
- Abilities: Comfortable working in a clinic outpatient setting; able to adapt to varied patient loads and potential remote-site travel as needed.
