Set Up Technician

Knowledge | Experience | Skills

High school diploma or GED. Experience in injection molding. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Must have forklift experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Help troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment at some.
• Do color changes on hoppers and grinders.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Performs mold/equipment changeover process.
• Remains “on-call” for equipment failures occurring outside of normal working hours.
• Monitor production schedule to assure that all equipment needed is in a production-ready state and to prepare for set up ahead of time.
• Identify and present cost-saving opportunities to assist Plant Manager.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop/set up area.
• Help do material changeovers as needed.
• Keep equipment area clean.
• Assist tool room and Plant Manager as needed.
• Assist the Plant Manager with special projects as needed.
• Enroll in Apprenticeship program.
• Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
