Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
- Administer injections, draw blood, and perform basic diagnostic tests as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage front and back office workflow
- Handle patient communications, including follow-up calls and care instructions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is a plus
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor with a professional attitude
