Bilingual Customer Service Representative – WIC Program

Location Irving, TX 75051 | Onsite


COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.82/hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Temporary (W2)


ROLE IMPACT

This role supports the delivery of essential Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) services by ensuring accurate eligibility determination, compliant documentation, and a respectful, positive participant experience. Success is measured by timely processing, data accuracy, and effective communication that helps families access critical nutrition and health resources.


Key Responsibilities
• Interview and evaluate applicants to determine income and residency eligibility; verify identification and immunization records; complete and maintain accurate documentation.
• Issue WIC benefits through EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer); perform data entry in Texas WIN and XP systems; track inventory and prepare required reports.
• Collect medical history information; obtain heights and weights; perform finger-stick blood samples; identify and collect recalled or medically necessary formula items.
• Greet and check in participants; provide program information; schedule appointments; refer clients to appropriate health and social service agencies.
• Provide clerical support, including answering phones, maintaining participant files, and completing filing and purging tasks as directed.


Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• 2 years of experience in healthcare, education, community, or social services.

• Microsoft Office or similar office productivity tools


Preferred Skills
• Experience working in programs serving women, infants, and children.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse populations.
