Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our growing warehouse team. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately stock HVAC equipment, parts, and materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick tickets while ensuring order accuracy.
- Pack and prepare orders for local delivery or shipment.
- Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
- Assist with replenishing stock and organizing warehouse locations.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage or discrepancies.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Assist delivery drivers with loading routes as needed.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, customer service representatives, and branch personnel to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building supply distribution is a plus.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic computer and inventory management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of HVAC products and equipment.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and customer service.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
