PHARMACY TECH

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the daily operations of our pharmacy department. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with prescription processing, inventory management, customer service, and medication preparation while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with prescription-related questions.
• Receive, process, and enter prescription information accurately.
• Resolve insurance claim issues and prescription discrepancies.
• Prepare medications and labels under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory, stock medications, and monitor expiration dates.
• Keep accurate pharmacy records and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and all hospital policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician registration or certification approved by the state of Missouri
• Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.
