Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Irving, TX 75063
Schedule: 3rd shift 2 am -10:30 am (Central), Tuesday - Saturday
Pay Range: $38 - $40
Contract Duration: 3+ months 
 
Job Description:

  • Job titles such as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist are interchangeable
  • Work environment/department will be specified in requirements
  • Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper function
  • Make technical decisions related to testing and problem-solving
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Maintain and restock testing bench supplies as needed
  • Assist with specimen processing when required
  • Maintain a safe work environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent meeting local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
  • 2–4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience required
  • State Medical Technologist license.
  • ASCP or AMT certification,
