Tool Maker Technician $33/hour - Permanent Job

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired directly by the employer from your first day. The ideal candidate will have experience producing complex precision components, working to extremely tight tolerances, and operating a variety of machining equipment while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

· Plan, layout, and machine complex precision machine parts from stock or semi-finished parts.

· Work within tight tolerances of +/- .0002 with knowledge of GD&T.

· Receive instructions, drawings, and specifications from manager

· Assist in determining stock size and inspect stock before production operation for any issues that would cause non-conforming product.

· Set up the entire job and operate multiple machines whenever possible.

· Determine the appropriate machining sequence of complex parts.

· Calculate a variety of dimensions, convert decimal dimensions into fractions, and convert metric to decimal inches

· Establish work offsets, datums, and coordinates for the piece and confirm precise measurements and machine positions

· Perform some hand operations, such as assembling, deburring, cleaning, or tapping of the pieces.

· Check the product against the prints using calipers, micrometers, gage blocks and pins

· Ensure following 5S principles

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a tool maker

· Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and blueprint reading.

· Proficiency in GD&T and precision measurement techniques.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple machining operations.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Ability to work safely while meeting production schedules.

Hours are:

Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pm

The pay is up to $33.00 an hour based on experience
