DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides supervision and administrative support for casework teams and assists in maintaining effective and compliant service delivery. As a County Casework Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Staff Supervision: Provide guidance, conduct formal reviews, and oversee decisions made by assigned supervisors
  • Record Review: Examine case records to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Policy Support: Assist in developing and updating agency policies, procedures, and annual planning documents
  • Administrative Duties: Prepare documents, attend meetings, and manage correspondence as required
  • Confidentiality Oversight: Maintain strict adherence to all confidentiality rules inside and outside the office
  • On-Call Coverage: Perform assigned administrative on-call responsibilities


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Occasionally, irregular hours, including evening and weekends may be required.
  • Employee may have occasional overnight travel out of County for meetings or training.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in public or private social work which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

  • You must pass a background investigation.
