Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months (possibility of extension)

Job Description:
* Individual must demonstrate strong multi-tasking setting priorities based upon minimal direction including:
* Strong experience in writing of complex SQL queries to extract and validate the data from the database
* Proficient in creating, executing SQL queries in Oracle, SAS and/or Teradata or other reporting tools / languages for reporting purposes
* Strong proficiency with tools, language MS Office Suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS SharePoint, MS Visio
* Understanding of NCQA HEDIS quality measures and code value sets.
* Experience in analyzing and data cleansing of raw data with strong working knowledge of programming, work with various applications of ETL, reporting, data mining.
* Familiar with HIX (Health Insurance Exchange), EMR (Electronic Medical Record), EHR (Electronic Health Record) types of data collection.
* Strong interpersonal skill set including ability to support in partner relationship between health plan & provider/vendor community.
* Demonstrate strong initiatives in self-learning with independent trouble shooting, identifying issues and solutioning skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared goal.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into structured, easy-to-understand reports.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and facilitating meetings.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing project priorities simultaneously.
