DESCRIPTION OF WORK

With our team, you will be responsible reviewing incidents and investigations involving individuals registered with Delaware County OID. This position has the Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS) roles of County Incident Manager and Certified Investigator. Your work will help ensure compliance with requirements for incidents and investigations as well as support positive changes for the future.


In this County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1 position serving as an Incident Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:


  • Review Incident Reports: Analyze initial incidents, allegations, and documentation reported through various methods; make determinations regarding the adequacy of the agency's actions; and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Collaborate with Providers: Work with providers and support coordination organizations to address concerns, review related documentation, and provide technical assistance and training
  • Track Incidents and Investigations: Maintain, review, and track incident and investigation data and documentation; coordinate with clerical staff to ensure files are uploaded correctly
  • Support Quality Management: Schedule and complete administrative and peer reviews of completed investigations
  • Assist Compliance Activities: Participate in statewide and regional meetings to share findings of incident analysis, make recommendations about modifications to policies and procedures, and provide investigation documentation to oversight agencies upon request


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. No telework for the first six months of employment. After an employee has completed six months of employment and have regular status, there may be opportunities for hybrid work, per the program offices' hybrid schedule. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Drexel Hill. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
