Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in building the metal frames of large switchboards in a production bay. You will complete full assembly and basic wire harness assembly on each unit, using tools and blueprints at your workbench. This position involves repetitive assembly tasks, ensuring the quality and accuracy of each switchboard. You will also use simple schematics to assemble wire harnesses and mount them on the units.
Responsibilities- Build metal frames of large switchboards using hand tools and blueprints.
- Conduct full assembly and basic wire harness assembly on each unit.
- Use a tape measure and blueprint to measure parts accurately.
- Ensure the quality of assemblies in accordance with customer specifications.
- Assemble wire harnesses using simple schematics and mount them on units.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or solid mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use a power drill.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, wiring, and reading blueprints.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfort with working 90 inches off the ground using a step ladder.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Experience with electronic assembly and soldering.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and PCB assembly.
- Experience reading schematics and blueprints is preferred.
- Steel or composite toe footwear required.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is exceptional, with a bright and quiet shop that allows for easy visibility of small parts and wires. Employees can listen to headphones and wear casual attire like jeans and sweatshirts. The job involves individual work, requiring self-motivation without constant supervision once training is completed. Safety equipment such as steel or composite toes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection in certain areas is required. The shift is first shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with little to no overtime.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
