About the Opportunity
Excellent manufacturing company in the Port Huron area is seeking an experienced Wire EDM Machinist to join their 3rd shift team. This is a 4 day work week with the opportunity for permanent hire. The ideal candidate will have CNC or Wire EDM machining experience, a strong work ethic, and a stable manufacturing background.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wire EDM and CNC machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Perform machine offsets and basic adjustments.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain tight tolerances and high quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor machining issues.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- 2 Years experience operating CNC or Wire EDM machines required.
- Machine set up experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Quality driven with strong attention to detail.
- Stable work history and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
