Salary: $26-$29 per hour (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position is intended for someone with a higher level of fabrication experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong welding skills are important, but welding is only part of the role. The ideal candidate can read and interpret fabrication drawings, accurately lay out and fit parts, assemble weldments, and think through fabrication processes efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop prints.
• Layout, fit, and assemble weldments to specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required.
• Determine fabrication methods and work sequences to maximize efficiency.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials accurately.
• Inspect completed weldments for quality, fit, and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, ironworkers, and other shop machinery.
• Troubleshoot fabrication and fit-up issues independently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong welding skills with a proven ability to produce quality welds consistently.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with layout, fitting, and assembly of weldments.
• Experience fabricating custom, non-production projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of shop math, measurements, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Welding Certification.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience with structural steel, stainless steel, or custom metal fabrication projects.
• Ability to mentor less experienced fabricators and shop helpers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a fabrication shop environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Pay: $26-$29 per hour, depending on experience
