The Industrial Forklift/Reach Stacker Operator safely operates reach stackers and industrial forklifts to handle, move, and stack containers, ISO tanks, and heavy loads within a yard, terminal, or warehouse environment. This role focuses on efficient material handling while strictly adhering to safety and operational guidelines and supporting smooth yard and production operations.

Shift/Pay:

• Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm
• $20/hr

Responsibilities:

• Operate reach stacker equipment to safely load, unload, and stack containers, ISO tanks, and large cargo in the yard, terminal, or warehouse.
• Operate industrial forklifts as needed to move and position materials and heavy loads.
• Perform pre-operation checks on reach stackers and forklifts to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks on equipment as directed, and promptly report any mechanical issues or defects.
• Follow yard layout plans and stacking procedures to optimize space utilization and maintain organized container placement.
• Communicate clearly with yard supervisors and team members to coordinate equipment movements and material handling activities.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety standards, protocols, and site procedures, and immediately report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of container movements, stacking locations, and operational logs in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with locating ISO tanks or containers as needed, performing duties similar to a stacker assistant to support yard operations.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production and yard environment while safely handling heavy loads and meeting operational timelines.
• Contribute to a cooperative team environment by demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.

Essential Skills:

• 1+ years of experience operating industrial forklifts in a yard, terminal, or warehouse setting.
• Preferred experience operating heavy lifting equipment, with reach stacker experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, site rules, and yard operations.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while safely handling heavy loads.
• Good communication skills to coordinate movements and activities with supervisors and team members.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused culture.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
