Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Details\n

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting at a Level I Trauma Center
\n
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
\n
• Weekend rotation: 1 weekend per 4-week schedule (8-hour shifts)
\n
• On-call requirements as needed, to be discussed during interview
\n
• 30-minute on-call response time required
\n
• Holiday coverage required as needed
\n
• Travelers are first to float
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Michigan RN license required
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
\n
• Circulating experience required
\n
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
\n
• Experience with highly specialized cases such as vascular, neuro, and robotics preferred
\n
• Scrub experience in any OR specialty preferred
\n
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
\n
• Supervisor-level references required for consideration
\n
• Proof of flu vaccination required
\n

• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
\n
• Previous travelers who worked at this facility internally may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
\n
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after will require manager approval
\n
• RTO is limited to no more than 10 days for the assignment
\n
• Any license or background issues must be disclosed upfront with a personal statement included; facility approval is required prior to consideration
\n
• Orientation includes non-billable, self-reported modules (approximately 8 hours)
