American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma Center, requiring 3+ years of OR experience and NJ or Compact RN licensure.

- Operating Room unit within a Level I Trauma Center hospital setting \n
- Evening shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM \n
- 13-week assignment length \n
- On-call requirement of 8-12 hours per month \n
- May float between the Jack & Sheryl Morris and New Brunswick campuses, which are connected by a pedestrian bridge \n
- Uses EPIC charting system \n
- Scrub attire provided by facility \n
- Handles diverse surgical specialties including ortho trauma/spine, neuro/craniotomy, robotic surgery (Xi, SP, DaVinci), bariatrics, and gynecologic/general oncologic cases \n
- \n
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required \n
- BLS certification required \n
- CNOR certification preferred \n
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience required \n
- Scrub and circulate experience highly preferred \n
- Prior travel experience preferred but not required \n
- Strong trauma surgical skills preferred \n
- Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci Xi, Da Vinci SP) preferred \n
- Experience in bariatric, gynecologic, and general surgery procedures preferred \n
- SSN and DOB required for consideration \n
- Two current professional references required \n

- Will float within skillset as needed based on facility census and staffing needs \n
- Patient ratios vary based on acuity and staffing when floated \n
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate \n
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays \n
- Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible for this travel assignment \n
- First-time travelers may be considered, though travel experience is highly preferred \n
- Works in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level I Trauma Center environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties \n
