Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with at least 1 year of critical care experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital.

Details\n

\n
• >Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care, Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital
\n
• >Average daily census of 10-20 cases across 4 labs with approximately 12 visits per day
\n
• >Shift schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts starting at 7:30 AM
\n
• >On-call required approximately every 4th weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week based on department need
\n
• >May float between two nearby campus locations as needed
\n
• >Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• >Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience with some critical care experience required
\n
• Conscious sedation and telemetry experience required
\n
• Scrub and ventilator management experience preferred
\n
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
\n
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered, as no local candidates are accepted
\n
• 1 supervisor reference required
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• >Provide direct patient care in a busy interventional and diagnostic cardiac Cath Lab setting
\n
• Perform procedures such as sheath removal, vascular closure, EKG/ECG interpretation, and dysrhythmia monitoring/management
\n
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and related medications
\n
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
\n
• Complete required pre-start training modules prior to assignment
\n
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
\n
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment for at least 3 months before starting a travel assignment
\n
• RTO requests are ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
\n
