Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Acute Med/Surg Telemetry position in Alamogordo, NM, requiring at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience and an NM or compact RN license.

• Acute Med/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
\n
• Telemetry and general med/surg patient population
\n
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
\n
• 13-week contract
\n
• Floating required to BMed, Ortho, and PCU units
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license in NM or via compact licensure
\n
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
\n
• BSN preferred
\n
• A US Social Security Number is required for consideration
\n
• Two professional references required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
\n
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
\n
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
\n
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
\n
• Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
\n
• Makes appropriate care assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed
\n
• Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have been separated for at least 6 months before being considered for a travel assignment
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
