Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position in Raleigh, NC, requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and 2+ years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience.

  • Outpatient infusion center setting within a hospital system
  • \n
  • Oncology infusion unit providing chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron infusions, port lab draws, injections, and IV fluids/electrolytes
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
  • \n
  • 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • \n
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
  • \n
  • Schedule is fixed and cannot be modified
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license accepted in NC
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
  • \n
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required (ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration is NOT accepted)
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy outpatient infusion experience
  • \n
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • \n
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV infusions, blood products, and injections in an outpatient setting
  • \n
  • Provide patient and family education and emotional support throughout the treatment process
  • \n
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and evaluate patient care plans
  • \n
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required by patient care plans
  • \n
  • Drug screening must be completed within 24 hours of accepting the position; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results
  • \n
