Allied Support for Kids is seeking a School Services School American Sign Language for a travel job in Eugene, Oregon.

\n - Position: Sign-Language Interpreter (SLI) for 2026-27 school year, full-time, near Eugene, OR\n
\n - Primary Responsibilities:\n
\n - Provide academic assistance and social support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students under the direction of DHH or classroom teachers\n
\n - Teach sign language to assigned students\n
\n - Serve as a language role model, facilitating the acquisition and expansion of sign language and English\n
\n - Facilitate communication and socialization between DHH students and their hearing peers\n
\n - Provide regular updates on student progress and any issues encountered\n
\n - Perform additional duties as needed (e.g., mentor interpreter interns, assist with staff meetings)\n
\n - Compensation & Benefits:\n
\n - Hourly pay: $50-55/hour (based on experience)\n
\n - Weekly pay (every Friday)\n

\n - Associate’s Degree in Interpreter Education Program (Bachelor’s preferred)\n
\n - Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), Contact Variety, and English, demonstrated by EIPA 3.5+ or RID certification\n
\n - Proficient in comprehension and expression of ASL, Contact Variety, and Manual Coded English\n
\n - Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Sign Language\n
\n - Ability to adjust communication style to meet students’ developmental and language levels\n
\n - Knowledge of instructional supports for DHH students\n
\n - Capable of understanding/interpreting curricula from Kindergarten to advanced classes (e.g., Science, Math, Foreign Language)\n
\n - Experience providing supplemental instruction under teacher direction\n
\n - Ability to support social and communication skills for mainstream integration\n
