Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Emergency Med - weekends

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to work at Carewell Health in East Orange per diem on weekends as needed.

About the Role:

The PA/NP in Emergency Medicine plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, timely medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This position requires the ability to rapidly assess patient conditions, develop differential diagnoses, and implement appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Weekend Schedules -10 hr shifts 10am-8pm

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited PA/NP program.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice in New Jersey.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Experience or clinical rotations in emergency medicine or acute care settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as a PA/NP in an emergency department.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergency department operations.
• Strong background in procedural skills such as suturing, intubation, and central line placement.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
